Other computers

By default, only the computer running iTally can open the console. To use it from another computer on the same network:

1. On the computer running iTally, open the launcher window (click the iTally icon in the menu bar or system tray) and turn on Other computers. The service must be running. The window shows the URL and the access code (such as K7QM3-XRPW9), each with a Copy button.
2. On the other computer, open that URL in a browser, enter the access code and click Continue. The code is not case-sensitive, and spaces and dashes can be left out.
3. All console pages work from there, including Switcher, Cameras and Phone access. The access code cannot be viewed or changed from that computer.

Change the code or turn it off

• Regenerate creates a new random code; Set your own lets you choose one (8–32 letters or digits). The old code stops working at once, and computers already signed in must enter the new one.
• When you turn the switch off, other computers lose access immediately. The code is kept and used again when you turn it back on.
• After 10 wrong codes in a row, that computer must wait 1 minute before trying again.

Turn it on only on networks you trust

The connection uses plain HTTP, so anyone who can capture traffic on the network can see the access code. The code appears only in the launcher window, never in logs, QR codes or addresses.
